At the beginning of the 20th century in Tangier, a French archaeologist found and stole some small terracotta idols consecrated to a prehistorical phallic cult. During a workshop led by the artist, they were remade at 30 times their original size and then reappropriated as newspaper costumes for a pagan ceremony in the streets of Tangier.
Au début du xxe siècle à Tanger, un archéologue français a découvert et dérobé de petites idoles en terre cuite dédiées à un culte préhistorique phallique. Lors d’un atelier mené par l’artiste, elles ont été agrandies 30 fois et transformées en costumes de papier journal pour une cérémonie païenne dans les rues de la ville.
